The Voice of Youth - Tillsonburg

Youth Needed

New and exciting things are happening in the Town of Tillsonburg in hopes to improve opportunities that Tillsonburg has to offer for youth! The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg has established the Tillsonburg Youth Advisory Committee under By-law number 3214. The committee mandate for the Youth Advisory Committee is as follows: "To act as an advisory committee for Town of Tillsonburg regarding policies and programs in the municipality, and make recommendations as they relate to youth. "

The Voice of Youth is a committee of youth who meet regularly to discuss issues that they feel are important and impacting the youth of Tillsonburg. Youths concerns are then bought to the Youth Advisory Committee. The Voice of Youth is co-chaired by Ashley Vestraeten and Ben Hutchinson, 2 Glendale high school students with the support of an adult advisor. The Voice of Youth is currently looking to recruit more youth to be part of this committee. This is a very unique experience that gives youth a chance to be heard.
