Occupational Skills Training

Training to obtain or improve your job skills may be 'on-the-job', self-study, through public or private colleges and universities, on-line or through distance education. Our employment counsellors can provide valuable assistance and advice in guiding you through your research.

We are also responsible for assisting our clients in making application to Employment Ontario's Second Career Strategy program plus the Ontario Targeted Wage Subsidy (OTWS) program. Speak to your counsellor to learn about this process.

Once you've completed your career exploration and research, the next step is to find out which training providers can provide the type of training to meet your needs.

(note - If you are in receipt of Employment Insurance benefits, be sure to contact an employment counsellor before registering for any courses to ensure your benefits will not be disrupted!)
