Youth Job Connection - Summer
If you are between the ages of 15Ė18 and a new entrant to the labour market, or experiencing challenging life situations and will find it difficult to find a formal summer job without some assistance, this Employment Ontario program can offer you:
- Paid pre-employment workshops
- Job placement and mentorship
- Education and work transition support
The Youth Job Connection: Summer (YJCS) program is designed to provide summer, part-time and after-school job opportunities for high school students, aged 15 to 18 who face multiple barriers to employment including but not limited to low school performance, skipping class, problems with family life, community or the law, homelessness, living in poverty, or living with a disability. Aboriginal persons and new Canadians can also benefit from this program. While YJCS placements are expected to take place during the summer months, service providers can help eligible youth with part-time placements outside of school hours during the school year With Youth Job Connection: Summer you may be able to find the help and support that a young job seeker canít find elsewhere.Let us help you achieve your full potential.
