Summer Jobs Service
This Ontario government program can help you find a summer job. The program provides free services to improve your job-search and self-marketing skills.
It also provides a $2/hour wage support for jobs with businesses and farms, as well as with not-for-profit and other community organizations.
Who can participate?
Summer Jobs Service is available if you are:

15 to 30 years old

planning to return to school in the fall
Students may obtain applications:
- in person at Community Employment Services Woodstock, ILERC (Ingersoll) or NLERC (Norwich) OR
download a pdf version of Participant SJS application here
Student applications must be returned in person to one of the above-mentioned centres, where students will be interviewed and registered for the program.
Businesses and community organizations can apply to receive the wage support.

Employer Applications may be returned in person to Community Employment Services, as well as by fax (519-539-7833) or mail to the attention of Employer Services.
What's offered?
The program runs from April 1st to September 30th and offers the following:
free training on how to develop job-search and self-marketing skills to help you land and keep a job
a $2/hour wage support for businesses and farms, as well as not-for-profit and other community organizations to hire you
