Job Search Made Easy
During this 5-day workshop, you will:
- Identify your unique strengths and accomplishments that give you a competitive edge in the job market
- Create a strengths-based resume and cover letter package that can be tailored to specific job opportunities
- Develop a networking plan and a compelling introduction to use when meeting new contacts
- Learn interview do’s and don’ts, and practice responses to interview questions most commonly asked by employers
- Acquire strategies to stay focused, positive and productive during your job search
Exploring Career Options
During this 2-day workshop, you will:
- Complete assessments and receive customized reports on your strengths, aptitudes, and preferred work environments
- Use the Internet and the latest information on career trends to:
- Explore careers that match your strengths
- Learn where the jobs are now and where they will be in the future
- Create a plan to make a career change
Safety in the Workplace
To increase awareness of what a safe workplace should be and how to identify hazards in the workplace, laws around workplace safety and how to prepare to work safely.
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
Hazardous materials are found in many workplaces. This workshop will help to increase your awareness of the WHMIS classification system, and how to protect yourself while at work.
Positive Money Management
In this half day workshop, you will learn:
- 3 easy steps to take control of your financial future
- to reduce stress by reducing expenses
- hot tips to save money
- how to set financial goals for the future
Introduction to Computers
During this 2 day workshop, you will learn to:
- use the Microsoft Word program to make updates to resumes and cover letters
- send resumes by email and apply on-line to job postings
- create an e-mail address
- use the internet to job search
